May 1, 2019 - Hometown to Beijing

Today your amazing China tour begins

You will board the outbound flight to Beijing. Enjoy the on-board food, beverage, and entertainment. It is about a 13-hour flight

May 2, 2019 - Arrive Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China. Beijing Capital International Airport has rapidly ascended in rankings of the world’s busiest airports in the past decade

Upon arrival, we will be greeted by our local tour guide and transferred to our hotel

Free time to rest, relax, and acclimate to the new time zone

May 3, 2019 - Beijing

Sightseeing in Tiananmen Square, noted as the largest public square in the world

Visit the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government

Enjoy a local lunch, then stop at a Pearl Factory to gain a little knowledge of fresh pearls

Visit the Summer Palace, comprised of 800 buildings with more than 9,000 rooms

May 4, 2019 - Beijing

Hike along the Juyongguan Pass of the Great Wall of China, one of the seven greatest man-made wonders of the world

Stop at a Jade Museum to learn the history of jade. In Chinese, jade is pronounced as “Yu.” and it has a history in China of at least four thousand years

Visit a Traditional Chinese Medicine Center and enjoy a free foot-massage

Optional: Golden Mask Dynasty Show, a family-friendly with spectacular costumes and ballet dancing with acrobats thrown in ($49 per person)

May 5, 2019 - Beijing - Xi'an

Fly to Xi’an, the former capital of China, which enjoys a rich history of 5000 years

Visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which is located inside the Jianfu Temple in southern Xi’an city and one of the famous landmark of Xian

Optional: Dumpling Banquet & Tang Dynasty Stage Show, a family-friendly show with special cooked dumplings and traditional food ($59 per person)

May 6, 2019 - Xi'an

In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang unified China and became the first emperor. When he died, an entire Terra Cotta Army was constructed to be buried along with the emperor. It was uncovered serendipity in 1974 by farmers, and then became one of the century’s greatest archaeological discoveries. You will visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, and Terra Cotta Army replication factories

May 7, 2019 - Xi'an - Shanghai - Suzhou

Fly to Shanghai

Transfer to Suzhou. Suzhou, which dates back to 514 BC, is sometimes called the “Venice of the East”

You will visit Shan Tang Street which has always been regarded as the first name of Suzhou ancient streets. It has a long history of about 1,100 years, and its layout and architecture are the best to represent the characteristics of Suzhou’s old alleys. It has connections to many ancient Chinese celebrities and anecdotes

Optional: Boat ride on the Grand Canal and walk around local market ($29 per person)

May 8, 2019 - Suzhou - Hangzhou

Today you will visit the Lingering Garden of Suzhou. The Lingering Garden is a renowned classical Chinese garden and is recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

China is known for its silk, so we will take you to the Silk Spinning Factory. You can see firsthand the entire process of manufacturing silk

Then, we’ll drive you to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is one of the seven capitals of ancient China

Take a small boat ride on the West Lake which reveals the ethereal beauty of Hangzhou’s willow-draped islands

You will admire the Su Causeway, built in the fifth year of Yuanyou Period in the Northern Song Dynasty (1090) and has evolved since then. At that time, Su Shi (Dongpo), a poet known as the prefect in Hangzhou Prefecture, had the West Lake dredged, and built the Su Causeway by dredged silt

May 9, 2019 - Hangzhou - Shanghai

This morning, we will visit the Green Tea Village in Hangzhou, since Hangzhou is known for its green tea. The best harvests of the tea was traditionally reserved for government officials and the wealthy elite. Here, you can try some free samples of fresh tea

After this wonderful experience, we will then drive you to Shanghai to visit the Bund as well as the Gem Exhibition Center. Shanghai is divided by the Huang Pu River into eastern and western sections. Modern mega-high-rises are seen on the eastern side, while traditional European style architecture may be seen on the western side. The Bund is a five-block riverfront promenade with many of Shanghai’s banks and trading houses
